Kathryn Felice Peterson

Kathryn focuses her practice on family law and handles dissolution, support, child custody and move-away cases in both King and Snohomish County.  She begins strategizing a case at the initial client meeting, with the goal of an early settlement, but she is an experienced litigator who will personally see your case through to trial if need be.  Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Science, in neuroscience, at UCLA and she applies that knowledge to high-conflict cases where substance use disorders (addiction) and significant mental health diagnosis are often contributing factors.  Kathryn is passionate about protecting children and has volunteered her time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”) in the King County Juvenile Dependency Court.  Prior to focusing her practice on family law, Kathryn practiced complex commercial litigation for several years, served on the Board of Directors for International Microcomputer Software, Inc., and worked in-house for the Walt Disney Company/ABC as Counsel, Legal Affairs.  Kathryn is a former federal law clerk to the Honorable Louisa S. Porter (Ret.) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
