For almost 30 years, Barbara's practice has emphasized estate planning and elder law, or the legal issues affecting aging adults. She also represents parties in probate, trust and estate and guardianship litigation. Barbara frequently works with families who are in conflict with aging parents or each other about the senior's health care or financial decisions. "When I Need Your Help, I'll Let You Know and Other Senior Myths That Can Lead to Disaster," available on Amazon. "When I Need Your Help, I'll Let You Know" speaks to the "senior myths" that impede proactive and practical decision-making and provides resources for caregivers who are working to keep their aging parents safely at home. When she is not practicing law, Barbara enjoys gardening, designing and sewing quilts, dancing, reading and tending her family’s four cats and dog.
