Andy is a general business attorney whose practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions. His clients include owners and developers of shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings, hotels, and casinos. In addition to handling purchase and sale transactions of all sizes, Andy regularly represents owners and borrowers in commercial financing transactions ranging from CMBS, HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, LIHTC, life insurance and conventional bank loans, to private loans, joint ventures, and equity participation arrangements. Andy also has over 20 years of prior experience as a litigator, handling bench and jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts. While his primarily focus is real estate transactions, Andy’s practice also includes business formation, employment contracts, commercial leases, and negotiation and drafting of software licensing agreements.

For over 15 years Andy has volunteered as a mentor to elementary and middle school students in the Bellevue public schools. He is also a board member of Eastside Baby Corner. He also enjoys playing, composing and occasionally performing jazz piano. Andy and his wife, Linda, have three children, their daughter, Lauren, who works for an affiliate of the Lutheran church in Minneapolis, and their sons, Scott, a firefighter in Bellevue, and Tim, resident music director of Village Theater in Issaquah.
