John has been practicing law for almost 30 years. He serves as general counsel for many
of his clients, providing a full range of legal services to numerous municipal corporations.
John also advises profit and non-profit corporate clients in the areas of land use management
and development regulations, property transactions, utility system rates, ordinances and
other issues. John has extensive experience with mediation, arbitration and litigation
in the context of land use and construction disputes, enforcement actions, condemnations and
administrative proceedings. He has assisted municipal clients with more than 100 public works
projects and has substantial expertise in the development process, including site acquisition
and permitting; architectural and engineering service contracts; private and public works
bidding; assistance to consulting engineers and staff during construction; and negotiation,
arbitration and litigation of construction claims.
John is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell*, the highest rating attainable by members of the legal community.
