Mark's practice involves working with the firm's multiple practice groups, with a focus on commercial and
real estate litigation and appellate advocacy. Among other things, Mark has aided clients in quieting
title to real property, recovering personal property, and litigating contract disputes. Mark has also
advocated for clients before the Washington Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for
the Ninth Circuit. Prior to entering private practice, Mark served as a judicial law clerk for the
Honorable Robert E. Keeton, of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. While a
law student, Mark served as a legal extern for the Honorable Barbara Madsen of the Washington State Supreme
Court and was a board member of the Harvard Journal On Legislation.

PERSONAL
Mark grew up in Bellevue, Washington. He enjoys travel, which has allowed him to
play Romeo in the balcony scene on the stage of the Globe Theater in London; stand
in Tiananmen Square in Beijing; sing folk songs at Oktoberfest in Munich; view the
Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota; and attend a Wednesday audience with Pope John
Paul II. Mark also enjoys movies, Indian food, and spending time with his family. Mark
currently serves as the President and a board member of Choral Arts, one of the
premier choral organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
