Municipalities
Since 1969, Inslee Best has maintained a highly regarded municipal law
practice. Our municipal practice focuses on providing a broad range of services
to municipalities resulting in efficient, consistent and cost effective legal
work. Our municipal lawyers serve as general counsel to clients including
Eastside Fire and Rescue, King County Fire Protection District No. 10, twenty-six
water-sewer districts, a conservation district, a housing authority, and
the Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts. We
also serve as City Attorney in our representation of the Cities of Lynnwood,
Kenmore, and Lake Forest Park, and as special legal counsel for
the Cities of Kirkland and Bainbridge Island.
In addition, our municipal lawyers have served as special counsel to many
other special-purpose districts and cities in areas such as intergovernmental
contracting, assumptions of districts by cities, mergers and consolidations
of districts, purchase and sale of utility systems, development of comprehensive
