Anneliese is chair of the firm’s Estate Planning and Probate group. Her practice focuses on estate planning, including administration of trusts and estates, business succession planning, estate and trust disputes, and estate and gift tax planning -- with a special emphasis on charitable giving and nonprofit organizations. In addition to her estate planning practice, Anneliese works in conjunction with a number of the firm’s practice groups, including the Business and Corporate, Real Estate and Civil Litigation groups. In the elder law area, she assists in the creation and administration of guardianships for individual and corporate clients.
Representative Matters
- Create private foundations and publicly supported charitable organizations.
- Plan for and administer charitable gifts upon death.
- Administer and liquidate charitable remainder trusts.
- Create closely held businesses, both profit and nonprofit.
- Provide estate and trust administration of closely held business interests, including transfer and liquidation.
- Create and administer life insurance trusts.
- Create and administer trusts and other wealth transfer vehicles.
- Advise on use of generation-skipping and dynasty trusts.
- Plan for and prepare gift tax returns.
- Create revocable living trusts to hold property inside and outside of Washingtonstate.
- Represent personal representatives and trustees in the administration of taxable and nontaxable estates.
- Prepare Washington and Federal estate tax returns.
- Transfer and liquidate real estate interests in conjunction with estate and trust administration.
- Represent beneficiaries and fiduciaries in estate and trust disputes.
- Assist in the resolution of disputes through mediation and other means of alternative dispute resolution. Represent clients in the commencement and administration of guardianship matters.

When she is not practicing law, Anneliese enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, gardening, playing tennis, practicing yoga and singing with Choral Arts.
